CPBA (Certified Pega Business Architect) Exam

The CPBA exam validates when a Certified Pega Business Architect participates in the design and construction of a PRPC application, they possess the fundamental, essential PRPC skills and knowledge that must be applied to ensure success.

PRPC: Business Architect Essentials or PRPC: Business Essentials for Technical Architects
Type of Exam: 73 question multiple choice exam
Length: 90 minutes
Passing Grade: 70%

Certified Customer Service Business and System Architect Exams

The Certified CPM Business Architect (CCBA) exam has been developed for students who wish to concentrate on Configuring a Pega 7 Customer Service Application.

The Certified Customer Service System Architect (CCSA) exam has been developed for students who wish to concentrate on Creating a Pega 7 Customer Service Solution.

CDA (Certified DCO Architect) Exam

The Certified DCO Architect exam is based upon the knowledge areas necessary to utilize Pega’s Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) in order to facilitate and enhance business and technology collaboration for building better and faster PRPC solutions. The CDA exam replaces the former CMBB exams with relation to the Pega 7 application.

PRPC: System Architect Essentials I and II (SAE I and SAE II) or Business Architect Essentials
PRPC: Pega 7 DCO Essentials
PRPC: Running a Pega Project
Type of Exam: 53 question multiple choice

CSA (Certified System Architect) Exam

The Certified System Architect (CSA) Professional Certification Path is for developers and technical staff members who want to learn how to develop Pega applications. This certification provides a baseline measurement on your knowledge of PRPC.

CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect) Exam

The Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is for Certified System Architects that wish to increase their PRPC skills. This certification validates your ability to use PRPC to design and build for reusability across multiple lines of business.

CLSA (Certified Lead System Architect) Exam

The Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) is for Certified Senior System Architects who are ready to extend their knowledge and become part of an elite team who are the most competent and sought after resources for PRPC projects. The path to CLSA is a comprehensive educational process that incorporates self-study, eLearning, coaching, hands-on exercises and knowledge checks.

Knowledge of your business processes
Hands-on field experience
CLSA Immersion Program or CLSA eLearning

The certification exam is a two part exam. Part I is given at a Pearson VUE test center.
Part I:
73 multiple choice questions — 90 minutes, passing grade 70%
Part II: consists of building a PRPC application based on a given application scenario (7 consecutive days)
Part II is submitted to Pegasystems Graders for review and final grade. In order to achieve CLSA status, you must pass both parts (70/100 each).

CPMC (Certified Pega Marketing Consultant) Exam

The Certified Pega Marketing Consultant (CPMC) Certification is for professionals participating in the design and development of a Pega Deciision Management or a Pega Marketing Solution. The skills and knowledge areas required for these roles forms the basis for the certification exam.

Exam Retake Rule:

  • Each exam may be taken for a total of 3 times in a 12 month period. The 12 month period starts from the date the first exam is taken. For example, if the first exam is taken on May 1, 2014, a candidate may take the same exam 2 more times before May 1, 2015.

NDA Important to note:

  • Every Pegasystems exam will require you to accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
  • You are given up to 5 minutes of your total 90 minute exam to accept this agreement.
  • If you do not accept the agreement the testing system will shut your appointment off immediately.
  • This is a standard agreement that is widely used across the industry.
